Attendance
Students
are expected to attend class on a regular basis. If absent, the
student has the option for a makeup class. Check with the instructor
for makeup class recommendations if you need them. It is not a requirement
to make up missed classes. If we happen to have a really "bad"
winter and have to cancel several of the same classes, we will reschedule
them. We also expect students to be on time, as late arrivals disrupt
not only the teacher but the other students as well.
Attire
Students
are notified at the beginning of the dance season what attire is
appropriate and inappropriate for all classes. Long T-shirts
and sweatshirt that hide the body are not acceptable. Correct footwear
is required for the appropriate class. BARE LEGS ARE NEVER ACCEPTABLE.
Unless your hair is very short, hair must be tied back or up --
buns, ponytails, and braids are acceptable. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
Other
Students
are not permitted in class with gum or excessive jewelry.
Recital
All
classes participate in our annual recital. We encourage all students
to participate in this event to showcase to their families and friends
what they have learned throughout the year. It also gives everyone
the opportunity to see the degree of professionalism that exists
at our dance studio. However, participation in the recital is not
a requirement.
Registration
New
and current students register for classes
in August. Current students receive information by mail. Fall
dance session begins the Wednesday following Labor Day.
Tuition
We
do not require contracts, and tuition is on a month-to-month basis.
Tuition is based on the number of hours studied and discounts are
given for multiple classes per student or other family members.
You will receive a payment schedule in your packet when you enroll.
